Soft Catering is a love project of owner Melia who breathes hospitality and loves putting on breathtaking events. Specialising in amazing grazing platters and housemade fingerfood, all your event food will be styled to ensure maximum impact. Soft Catering aims to always make your event food solutions easy with a transparent menu and catering to all budgets and requirements. We are fully licenced for all your bar needs and can also provide Day of Event Managers to coordinate your every need. Our number one priority is making sure our customers are satisfied and have an incredible time at their event. Customer service is something we pride ourselves on, and we're here to ensure you receive a quality service, that you and your guests will be talking about well after the event!
A little more about the owner, Melia
My name is Melia and together with my brother Keisan and my amazing family we own the Soft Group.
I am an event manager by trade with a Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management who has worked for many venues developing the crazy skills needed in this industry. Yet the buzz you get every event never goes away and that's why I KNOW I am meant to be here!
After learning from some amazing (and not so amazing) business owners I knew I wanted to try and do it myself. That journey all started over three years ago with our flagship cafe located on Minerva Rd Herne Hill. Soft cafe pumps out amazing Allpress coffee and brunch 7 days a week. With multiple spaces, kids play area, meeting room, dog friendly alfresco and plenty of room for big tables. Soft Cafe has something for everyone, not to mention a delicious seasonal menu. I couldn't be prouder of our amazing team who bleed hospitality just like me and keep the passion and family vibe buzzing in store every day.
Because of them I have been able to develop and create other aspects of our business, most excitingly - Soft Catering. From corporate catering boxes, private functions, meetings at the cafe and complete grazing platter, finger food and beverage solutions we have your event covered. Providing an accessible menu and beautiful food styling options we aim to be transparent and stress-free catering. I understand that if there is one thing you want outshining you at your own event it's your food!
